1 seriously hurt in Del. 1 crash at I-95

One person suffered "very serious injuries" in a crash Tuesday afternoon on northbound Del. 1 at the beginning of the flyover ramp to I-95, state police said.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash, reported at 3:25 p.m. near Christiana Mall, said Master Cpl. Jeffrey R. Hale.

The severely injured person was taken to Christiana Hospital, he said.

Three left lanes closest to the crash initially were closed. DelDOT reported all lanes reopened by 6 p.m.

The investigation of the crash is in its early stages, Hale said, and more information will be released later.
