Delaware State Police are investigating several shots being fired at a New Castle home early Monday morning.

New Castle County Police are investigating an apparent alcohol-related motor vehicle crash that claimed one life early Saturday.

Troopers responded to a residence in the unit block of Tyne Drive, Coventry Development, in New Castle, for the report of shots being fired at the home. Once there, a resident told them he was woken up by the sound of gunfire around 1:30 a.m.

He got up later and found water was draining from a bullet hole in the water pump and wall to his above ground pool. He also discovered a bullet hole in a widow of the home. Three people were in the home at the time of the shots being fired but no one was hurt.
