3 southbound lanes of Delaware Memorial Bridge closed

The three left lanes of the southbound span of Delaware Memorial Bridge are closed for suspender rope construction work, leaving one working lane for traffic.

The emergency construction work is scheduled through Wednesday morning and involves the replacement of multiple suspender ropes. The work is taking place in the left lane of the southbound span.

Once this initial work is completed Wednesday morning, it is expected that two left lanes will remain closed for the immediate future.
