Pedestrian struck on Del. 273 in Christiana

A pedestrian was struck on Del. 273 at West Main Street Friday morning, state police say.

Troopers are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian which was reported at 6:57 a.m. in the area of Del. 273 eastbound and West Main Street in Christiana, Sgt. Paul Shavack said.

An adult male pedestrian was transported to the Christiana Hospital Trauma Center in critical condition, with injuries to upper and lower extremities, head injuries and possible internal injuries, New Castle County Paramedics spokeswoman Corporal Abigail E. Haas said.
