A tip Tuesday afternoon led to the arrest in Delaware of the last of three suspects in the fatal shooting of one man and wounding of another last week in a home near Elkton, Maryland, officials said Tuesday night.

Although authorities previously had not disclosed a suspected motive for the shooting, with a father and son both charged, Lt. Michael Holmes of Cecil County Sheriff's Department told The News Journal, "drugs were definitely a factor."

Henry Eric Hamilton

Henry Eric Hamilton, 46, of the first block of Swallow Drive – where Wednesday night's fatal shooting occurred – was arrested without incident by a U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force including Delaware State Police and Cecil County Sheriff's Department, Holmes said.

"About 3:30 p.m., we got a call from someone who had seen his photo in the newspaper and recognized him," Holmes said.

The call came from Summit North Marina, on the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal at Lums Pond State Park, one of many sites Hamilton was known to frequent and which authorities searched unsuccessfully for him in Delaware and Maryland's Cecil and Harford counties after Wednesday night's killing, he said.

Hamilton waived extradition and was being processed Tuesday night on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder, Holmes said. Based on additional investigation since a warrant was issued for that charge last week, he said, they expect to add first-degree murder and weapon offenses to his charges.

He was expected to appear before a Cecil County Court Commissioner overnight or Wednesday morning, he said.

David Joel Robles Serrano, 31, of Wilmington, was killed in the shooting and the 19-year-old, also from Wilmington, was seriously injured but has been released from the hospital, Holmes said.

Kimberlie Marie Perez, 45, also of the first block of Swallow Drive, was arrested Friday. Hamilton's son, Hank William Hamilton, 23 of Bel Air, Maryland, was arrested Saturday.

The younger Hamilton was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses, while Perez was charged as an accessory after the fact.

Holmes said the investigation is continuing.
