A crash involving two SUVs on Del. 273 sent two drivers to a hospital Tuesday morning, according to officials at the scene in Bear.

Their injuries were considered very minor, state police said.

The accident happened about 8 a.m. at the ramp to southbound Del. 1, Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale said.

Westbound traffic was unable to turn onto the ramp. The ramp remained open for eastbound traffic, although the right lane of Del. 273 was closed for a time until the wrecks were removed just before 9 a.m.

The SUVs struck a guard rail and a traffic light pole at the intersection.

State police and DelDOT crews responded to the accident. Fire company ambulances transported the injured.
