A 15-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed as he was walking home from a Glasgow High School football game Friday evening, state police said Saturday.

At approximately 8 p.m., the teen was approached from behind by six to eight males as he was crossing South College Avenue near the high school. The assailants knocked him to the ground, kicked and punched him and rifled through his pockets. They took the boy’s sneakers and fled on foot, Sgt. Paul Shavack said.

The teen suffered minor injuries during the assault but declined medical treatment.
