The National Dog Show (Presented by Purina), from the Kennel Club of Philadelphia, aired on NBC on Thanksgiving day. Pictured: The show winner, Nathan,a 4- year-old male Bloodhound. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia and its predecessor clubs have been presenting dog shows since 1879.

Nathan, a 4-year-old bloodhound with droopy ears and a lovably floppy face, won big at the 2014 National Dog Show, which aired on NBC Thanksgiving day.

He trumped 2,000 dogs spanning more than 170 breeds who strutted their furry stuff for the Best in Show title, according to NBC.

Nathan's co-owner and handler Heather Helmer has been showing the dog since he was 6, according to the Baltimore Sun. He made it to the Best in Show round at the Westminster dog show this year but lost to a wire fox terrier.
