A person breaking into vehicles parked near Wilmington's Haynes Park early Tuesday was caught red-handed by security cameras belonging to a victim.

Vehicles belonging to Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode were burglarized Tuesday, according to his Twitter account.

Now the burglary victim, Wilmington Fire Chief Anthony Goode, has posted several videos on his Twitter account warning people about the incident and asking for the public's assistance.

"3/29/16 3:18am home surveillance catches person breaking into & stealing from my POV & City vehicle," Goode posted Tuesday. "Recognize'em??"

Wilmington police Sgt. Anthony Bowers said the incident is under investigation.

Goode, who lives in the 900 block of W. 30th Street, could not be reached for comment, but he posted on his social media account that in five minutes the burglar broke through one of the vehicle's  passenger windows, then fled into Haynes Park with expensive equipment.

Another video shows the burglar walking from Haynes Park, onto 30th Street, then south on Franklin Street, he said.

"Check your cars, neighbors," he cautioned.
