A man was arrested in Middletown after repeatedly waving his genitals at passing traffic, town police said Wednesday.

After an initial 911 call Monday reporting a man exposing himself Monday to passersby in the area of Greenlawn Boulevard and Redden Lane, police investigated but did not find the man, Lt. Michael J. Kelly said.

Then more 911 calls made similar reports Tuesday, he said.

At 8:23 a.m., the same lewd behavior was by passing motorists at New and Ashland streets, Kelly said.

But, again, responding officers determined the man – of the same description reported in the first incident – no longer was there, he said.

Then at 9 a.m., the man was reported showing his genitals to traffic at Dove Run Shopping Center off Middletown Odessa Road (Del. 299), Kelly said.

Officers responding from the nearby police station quickly found the man that time and took him into custody, he said.

He was identified as Lamont Kee, 45, who is homeless with a last known address in Georgia, Kelly said.

Kee "was positively identified by several victims as the subject that they reported to 911 as having exposed himself," he said. A total of eight people reportedly saw Kee's genitals.

Police do not know how long or why Kee was in Middletown, he said, except that "he possibly had family in the area."

He was charged with six counts of indecent exposure and two counts of lewdness.

Lacking $5,500 cash bail, Kelly said, he was committed to Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna.
