Man sought in theft at UD swimming pool

University of Delaware’s police department on Tuesday asked for public help to identify a man suspected of stealing a bag at UD’s outdoor pool.

UD police released a surveillance photo of the man they say is suspected in the theft of a shoulder bag containing two iPhones and personal items at the outdoor pool at 547 S. College Ave. about 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 5.

University surveillance also showed the man leaving the area in a white Hyundai Elantra with an unknown license plate, last seen heading east on Delaware Avenue at the intersection with Academy Street.
