Wilmington emo/indie rock duo Up Nights will perform as part of the Our Velocity Productions anniversary party at Oddity Bar and 1984 on Friday night.

The Newark-based live music promoter Our Velocity Productions will take over a pair of Wilmington bars for a big anniversary show held on two stages for one cover.

A dozen bands including New Sweden, The Lift Up, The Hold-Up and Up Nights will be performing at Oddity Bar (500 Greenhill Ave.) and 1984 (2511 W 4th St.) Friday night to celebrate Our Velocity's first year.

The bars, which are only a block away and both cater to indie-minded live music fans, already teamed up earlier this month for a two-shows-for-one-cover event.

On Friday, it costs $8 before 10 p.m. and $10 after 10 p.m. to get into either club. There will be free pizza, cake and door prizes for the bash, which will also feature music by Philadelphia bands Nations and Welter. (It's 21-and-older only.)

Organizers will be accepting donations on behalf of the Food Bank of Delaware. Dry goods, peanut butter and canned items will be accepted. For each item donated, a ticket will be given for a raffle later in the night.
